Evidence levels
A geocoded legacy or imported row without current publishable source evidence. It can help with discovery but should be confirmed on arrival.
A record tied to a named source, retrieval date and source key so it can be refreshed and audited.
The responsible organization or an authorized operator confirmed the location through the claim or bulk-update workflow.
A source or operator reconfirmed the record inside its defined refresh interval.
Today, 22,900 of 27,036 public records retain source evidence and 0 are operator-confirmed. We treat missing evidence as unconfirmed, never as implicitly verified.
Freshness
Each structured source can define its own expected refresh interval. A source date is more meaningful than the date a database row happened to be edited, so the public status uses source or operator confirmation dates when available.
27,036 rows were edited during the last 180 days, but an edit timestamp alone is not presented as proof that a location was rechecked.
Community reports
A report is a lead for review, not instant truth. We compare it with the record, source evidence, coordinates and other reports. High-risk actions such as deleting a location remain moderated. Contact details submitted with a report are used only to clarify that correction and are not published.
Neutral results and commercial relationships
The nearest-results calculation is distance-based. A recommended collection partner or paid placement is visually labeled and measured separately. Payment does not convert an unverified location into a verified one.
