thriftstore.ca is the website of The Salvation Army Thrift Store, National Recycling Operations (NRO), the retail and reuse arm of The Salvation Army — one of Canada's largest registered charities. It resells donated secondhand clothing and household goods through Thrift Stores and Donor Welcome Centres across Canada, and uses the proceeds to fund local Salvation Army programs such as food banks, shelters, children's camps, and disaster and crisis relief. It also positions itself as a leader in textile diversion, keeping usable goods out of landfills.

What they accept : At Donor Welcome Centres they accept clothing and linens, footwear, accessories, books and media, housewares and small appliances, computers and electronics, toys, and antiques and collectibles, while standalone donation bins take clothing and linens only; furniture and mattresses are not accepted.
