Savers (which operates as Value Village in Canada and parts of the Pacific Northwest, and as Village des Valeurs in Quebec) is a for-profit thrift retailer that collects donated clothing and household goods on behalf of local nonprofit partners. It pays those nonprofits for the donated items, which helps fund their community programs, and then resells the goods in its thrift stores. The company also runs a recycling and reuse program that it says keeps millions of pounds of used items out of landfills each year.
