Fondation La Collecte (formerly Fondation Grands Frères Grandes Sœurs de Montréal) is a Montreal-area nonprofit that collects used clothing, household goods, and other reusable items to raise funds for youth mentorship. Since 1998 it has supported the cause of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Montreal (Grands Frères Grandes Sœurs du Grand Montréal), gathering donations through free home pickup, more than a hundred donation bins in residential complexes and commercial sites across the Greater Montreal region (CMM), and community donation centres. The donated goods are handled in partnership with Value Village (Village des Valeurs), whose royalty payments on clothing donations help finance the mentorship programs; the young people mentored are the ultimate beneficiaries.
